Happy Big 3

It's official...my baby boy turned three! I mean, in his eyes he was three YEARS ago because he is 5 just like his brother but now the rest of us see it too. He loves dinosaurs and diggers.
Last year was a dino party so this year became digger day. He was SO excited about the cake! Come to think of it,he was last year too! That kid does wonders for my baking-esteem. I am NOT a cook or a baker or any such thing, but that doesn't matter a lick to him! He had to show his cake off to anyone that came by and he told every detail of it to everyone that would listen (well, he left out the fact that I had to make it work w/ no eggs and no milk; but that is to be expected).
He enjoyed having some of his aunts and cousins and an uncle there for "quitin' time" We all chomped on our sac lunches and the kids played pin the cones on the construction site and other building games.

We have a tradition of breakfast-in-bed and when we brought his tray in w/ the birthday candle his face showed pure wonder.

He is so sweet and so loving and SO fun! We love our Mass man and look forward to all this next year will bring!

Oh, and if you ask, he'll tell you his favorite gift was this giant inflated ball...who can blame him!

Help Wanted

Unfortunatly my trusty point-and-shoot Canon got dropped one too many times and has finally given up the ghost. I was trying really hard not to see that as an opportunity to finally get a 'real' camera and dabble a bit in photography. All my efforts failed me. So now what I need is advice. Anyone out there have some photography tips they'd like to share?? I am sure my pictures will evolve over the coming months as I figure out how to actually use the camera, but it has been fun to play w/ it so far! All I really care about it catching my sweet munchins in all their gore and glory, and it is much trickier than I previously assumed.

Big brother pinched Baby's cheeks a BIT too hard (again) so he had to spend some time coloring her an apology letter. That poor baby!! She'll be one tough cookie by the time her brothers finish 'loving her' so! She had her pouty face on but HE was quite proud of his efforts; happy as a clam. He colored her a Barbie picture because...she'd like that, right? She was grateful for the gesture, but STILL not thrilled.

After some good eats she perked up a bit. Good is fure a relative term, huh?! She had squash and pears and seemed to LOVE it. Poor angel is sick (maybe the runny nose gave it away already) but she'll put on a smile no matter the sitch.

And she'd like to get her hands on my new toy as much as anyone!

Enzo's been Jimmered!

Well, kind of... He told me tonight, "I wish Dad could play on the BYU Basketball team because then there would be THREE good players on the team: Jimmer, Jackson and Daddy." Now, lest you foolishly believe that Enzo would mean to imply that Hartsock, Davies and others are not fabulous players let me correct you now. Enzo KNOWS how good the team is as a whole, he just thinks his Daddy is THAT awesome!
I will leave the judgement of Marco's ball skills to those lucky souls that play church ball w/ him on occasion. :)
Really though, all the kids HAVE been Jimmered. When they play ANY game now they fight over which one gets to be Jimmer (the 'loser' of said battle gets to be Joshua 'Juice' Quesada, which is ALMOST as cool). We all (minus baby) cheered to Cougs on for their last home game this season. What an energizing game!

Septmeber Snippits

OK, so catching up isn't so hard if I don't write much, so here is a flash of September:
Our baby is learning to hold up her head!
Telling her story...Adoration from the oldest brother

Adoration of the big brother; he just can't get close enough! She loves Pat-a-cake w/ big brother.

What tires out these kids so???
So much fun w/ great friends! See all those muscles?!
My little man is off to his own school (well, playschool) and he LOVES having something to call his own.
All clean...and serious.
Fuzzy wuzzy
Starting to smile!! And don't miss that belly!
Her little hands clasped together... I just can't get enough! Our little SQUISH.
We were STOKED (get it?)to have lors and janell there to break in the fire pit Marco built for us!
Another generation goes by.
With a face like that I HAD to post him! Glad to have Cubs and the whole crew here!
We were SO lucky to have Aunt and Uncles come for a visit! Thanks for making the long trek down this way!
Our Sunday afternoon on Temple Square.

My big girl! Growing into such a fine young lady!
Tender kisses.

Temple Square w/ the Fluckigers was a memorable time (especially when one little monkey took a dive into the reflecting pool!! Yea, really! Thus the naked boy in the pictures)Ahhhh.... Forever. What a beautiful plan our God has for us!

We LOVE when our cousins come!!!
Trafalga brought the kids MANY hours of fun!

Oh, How Time Flies!

Can you believe that it was really back on the first day of August that I posted last? Where have the months gone to??? And we all know that the two months coming up will pass quicker than them all w/ all the hustle and bustle and family fun. Before I can blink I will be the proud grandmother that is wishing my sweet children would post pictures of their little ones.
Well, that may be a bit dramatic, but here you go mom and dad (and any other distant loved ones), here are our little treasures. Sorry for the delay.
August in review:
This little outfit is from her Grandma whose name she bears. She must have gotten the furrow in her brow from that same Grandma, as well.
You gotta LOVE the fun kids find!
I know, huh?! Too sweet.
Preschool began for this one! He was stoked!
These two are SMITTEN!
Grandma taught him that all you need to be in the army of Helaman is a bandana and some serious faith. That has brought many moments of teaching and fun and ...exhaustion!
We enjoyed a backyard campout for the August meteor shower. We roasted dogs and marshmallows, sang camp songs and watched the stars. But not before we snuck in a bath for the little one. Everyone just adores her!

Look at that pouty lip!! I love it! They LOVE their bath time!
I laid her on the bed while I was changing another bottom and when I looked over to see her, what a sweet little sight cuddled up to Mr. Bear.

Stay tuned for September (and October too!)
